Rhyme and Prose is such a cute shop that I had the honor of doing a commercial shoot for! Karen contacted me about what goes into a commercial shoot because she had invested in one before! I was so excited to be her first professional Utah Commercial Photographer for her store! She was thrilled to be launching her adult line of clothes and wanted to make sure that these products would be taken care of and modeled the way she was envisioning.
I want to tell you all about why it's important to have a professional photographer for your business, and what it looks like when you hire me to be your photographer! I want your business to have pictures that truly represent you, your brand and your products! Whether you use these photos for fliers, your website or social media, professional images are sure to help you bring in more customers.
I want to share one of my favorite family sessions from Mini Sessions this past fall! They are a great example of how to prepare for a family session!
Family pictures are some of my absolute favorites! When it comes to getting ready for pictures, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Which is why I am here to help! Let's talk about a couple of things to help you prepare for your family session.
At the beginning of the summer, we had a family meeting and planned out our summer and we set several goals to help us have a great summer. Even though the summer is half over, you can still create a summer bucket list! There is plenty of time to have so much fun! So here are some of your ideas to do with your kids!
This is why I am a lifestyle photographer and family videographer. I want to capture your family, in this moment, right now. Because this time is so fleeting. And having these memories is all that we will have left someday. Let’s capture your memories now. Don’t wait for those 10 pounds to come off. Don’t wait until you have fancy clothes. It honestly doesn’t matter. The time is now.
I love listening to podcasts. They are short and sweet and they are part of my daily routine! I love listening to a variety of shows ranging from self help, business improvement to true crime! Here are some of my favorites!
Paisley certainly loved her new little brother. She was all about kisses and loves. One of my favorite parts of this session was towards the end when Paisley and her dad showed me all of their dance moves! They even had their own routine! I hope that they will continue to dance with each other over the years!

We met up Provo Canyon so early in the morning! But in order to get the best light and have a happy baby, we decided that an early morning session would be best. And it was! It was the BEST!! We got there at 7 am and the grass was still dewy. It was just peaceful! I love this location in Provo Canyon because it looks amazing all year round. That tall grass and beautiful mountain view make the perfect setting for any kind of photo session.
I love photographing in this field. It’s in a really unexpected place in Highland, UT and it is perfect! The golden fields bring such a warmth to the pictures. It is one of my favorite places to go for the family mini sessions I photograph! It's great because it looks the same all year round, so it is great if you want a location that looks great during Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer!
Do you have a question about family sessions? Here is a blog post answering my most asked questions!
I love babies!!! I love photographing newborn lifestyle sessions. I love capturing sweet moments with brothers and sisters and with mom and dad! I love how comfortable people are in their own home. I love seeing a family in their surroundings. People, especially children, are at ease! They don’t have to worry about making a mess in someone else’s space, or not bringing the right snack for their kiddos, it is seriously a win-win!
Photographing a birth had been on my mind for a long while. It was kind of a bucket list item that I was aching to fulfill. So I asked one of my very pregnant friends if she would be willing to let me photograph the birth of her son! I was incredibly lucky because she said yes! I was so excited to start this adventure as a birth photographer.
If you look at this first picture, you will see four beautiful little girls. I photographed the sweet little girl on the left's newborn photos a few years ago when the twin girls were just a little under 2 years old! They are now almost four and have a brand new baby sister! I loved watching the girls aw and smile at the new baby.
Hi! I'm Amber!
I am a memory preserver.
My purpose is to create and capture beautiful moments for you, your children and your grandchildren to cherish for years to come. I want you to laugh, smile and feel loved by whoever is surrounding you.
I have been serving families here in Utah since 2014. Hanging out with families and becoming best friends with toddlers are my favorite part of sessions. I'm an expert fun maker, bad joke teller and all around your go to gal to help make your session go smoothly!
For my families, I'm the gal with the snacks. My goal in life is to make the kiddos smile and to make sure you have the precious moments recorded for you to remember. Littles don't stay little for long. And as a mother, I know how important it is, to remember the smiles, the hugs and laughs.
Most days you can find me chilling with my two boys and finding reasons to get to the mountains in the summer and staying inside and snuggling in the winter. I know that the investment that you make in photography, is the best investment you can make for this special day in your life. This day that you are planning will be documented so you and your family can look back and cherish this day.
As a Utah Family Photographer, I have heard many reasons and excuses as to why someone shouldn’t get their family pictures taken. Some are pretty silly, but others are valid concerns. But at the end of the day, your family is still the #1 most important thing in your life. And it is my greatest honor to take your love for your family and put it somewhere you can see it every day. In a picture.
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw the reel that went semi-viral. I recorded this in a studio after one of my sessions. In fact, lets just watch it right now. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNSh-odBV1i/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
I received several comments on this post, and I just want to take a minute to address them.
