Baby Elsie| Utah Newborn Lifestyle Photographer
Lifestyle newborn sessions are seriously my favorite session to do ever. I love them, I love them, I love them!
If you have been following me for a while, you know that for a long time ago, I was really into posed newborn photography. I really loved it. I loved snuggling the newborn babies and making them look so darling in wraps and baskets. But a few years ago, I decided to move a little more towards lifestyle. And it was the best decision I ever made. I love going into client's homes. I love seeing their kiddos in their own spaces. If kids want to play with their toys, they can. If they want to jump on the bed, I say go for it!
I truly believe that a person's home is the most special place on earth. I know that is how it is for me. Which is why I love photographing memories in people's homes.
If you look at this first picture, you will see four beautiful little girls. I photographed the sweet little girl on the left's newborn photos a few years ago when the twin girls were just a little under 2 years old! They are now almost four and have a brand new baby sister! I loved watching the girls aw and smile at the new baby. I loved seeing the sweet sister's interact with each other. They wrestled around, gave great big group hugs and there were plenty of kisses for the newest baby sister. I can't help but think about how these four girls are going to be the best of friends and perhaps enemies at times. But I am sure that they will love each other for the rest of their lives. And they are so lucky to have the best parents to help guide them along the way!
Paisley certainly loved her new little brother. She was all about kisses and loves. One of my favorite parts of this session was towards the end when Paisley and her dad showed me all of their dance moves! They even had their own routine! I hope that they will continue to dance with each other over the years!
I love babies!!! I love photographing newborn lifestyle sessions. I love capturing sweet moments with brothers and sisters and with mom and dad! I love how comfortable people are in their own home. I love seeing a family in their surroundings. People, especially children, are at ease! They don’t have to worry about making a mess in someone else’s space, or not bringing the right snack for their kiddos, it is seriously a win-win!
Photographing a birth had been on my mind for a long while. It was kind of a bucket list item that I was aching to fulfill. So I asked one of my very pregnant friends if she would be willing to let me photograph the birth of her son! I was incredibly lucky because she said yes! I was so excited to start this adventure as a birth photographer.

The Hafen family has gone through a lot of trials before sweet baby Owen was born. Shanda suffered through several miscarriages between her sweet girl Aria and Owen. It was such a struggle and Shanda was kind enough to share some words with me about her experience with bringing Owen to the world that I would love to share. Her words about her love for her babies here on earth and in heaven are ones of hope. And I loved reading her experience. I hope you will too.
When I was pregnant with my second little guy, my friends, Talon and Emily announced that they were pregnant too!! In the span of just 3 months, there were 4 of us girls in our group of friends that were pregnant! Three of us with boys!
This is why I am a lifestyle photographer and family videographer. I want to capture your family, in this moment, right now. Because this time is so fleeting. And having these memories is all that we will have left someday. Let’s capture your memories now. Don’t wait for those 10 pounds to come off. Don’t wait until you have fancy clothes. It honestly doesn’t matter. The time is now.
