The Rest is just Fluff| Utah Wedding Photographer| Amber Prusse Photography

So you set the date. You figured out the venue and you start talking about details. All the nitty gritty details. Like; flowers, wedding invitations, engagement photographer, center pieces, bridesmaid dress, your dress, food, dessert, WAIT! What about the music.

Needless to say, there is a lot that goes into weddings. And it can get stressful. Especially when you have a bajillion people involved.

So I am going to give you a little bit of advice that my mom gave me when planning my wedding.

The important thing is that you are getting married to the right person, at the right time, in the right place. The rest is just fluff.

When she told me this, I didn't quite comprehend what she was saying. I wanted the perfect wedding! Every little girl dreams of the perfect wedding. And that was maybe making me a little grumpy.

I look back now and I realize what my mom was saying. Yes, the fluff is fun and to an extent it is important. But the most essential thing was David and I were getting married. We were going to be surrounded by the people who love us. We had made the right decision.

And that day was perfect. Did things go perfectly? Almost! But just remember the important things on your wedding day. Don't let the fluff get in the way of seeing what is truly important on your wedding day.
